As Kurdish women, we are in solidarity with Kenyan women.
We, as Kurdish women, raise our voices against patriarchy, which is a regime based on violence, blood, war and killing. We are deeply saddened by the murder of Kenyan women and human rights defender Elizabeth Ibrahim Ekaru in Isiolo, Kenya on Monday, January 3, 2022. The murder of Elizabeth Ibrahim Ekaru is a manifestation of the violence targeting women’s rights defenders in Kenya and around the world.
